The Origins of Zinc and Chrome Limited

It all began in 1955 when John Roberts and Phil Harris worked together and then founded Valley Platers Ltd (Hutt Valley) and the Electrozinc Plating Company (Wanganui) respectively. Both Companies were merged some years later and have been passed through generations of their families.

In December 2010, Mark and Fiona Wilson (who also own Myriad Engineering) purchased Zinc & Chrome Limited.  There are synergies between Zinc and Chrome and Myriad Engineering and Myriad's market reputation for service and quality will be integrated into the Zinc and Chrome business.  With the change of ownership, the future of Zinc and Chrome is secure and ensures that zinc and chrome plating services remain in the Wellington region.
